CONSULTING
We empower individuals and organizations to create sustainable change through community-based and participatory research. We also offer workshops and presentations that help providers and educators meet the needs of diverse communities.
Presentations have included implementation of participatory research, arts-based inquiry, and qualitative data analysis. Community education has included topics such as post-traumatic growth, complex trauma in adolescents, sexual health, and whole health approaches to pain management.
PROVIDERS

DR. LAUREN SUAREZ
I strive to create a space where you feel empowered to grow through adversity. As a licensed counseling psychologist, I take a client-centered, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed approach to therapy. Together, we’ll explore ways to find meaning in difficult experiences and work through barriers that may be standing in the way of a more fulfilling life.
I have extensive experience supporting survivors of trauma, including childhood abuse, military combat, and sex trafficking. I also work with individuals adjusting to life changes due to injury or illness. My areas of specialization include trauma, chronic pain, and holistic health.

My therapeutic orientation is integrative, with a foundation in Relational-Cultural Theory (RCT). I draw from several evidence-based treatments, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), Cognitive Processing Theory (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Chronic Pain (CP-CBT), and more. As a registered yoga instructor (RYT-200), I also integrate mind-body approaches when appropriate.

I’m look forward to helping you navigate life’s challenges with resilience, flexibility, and compassion.
